Wanted to send a heartfelt thanks from your Board and Coaching Staff for a great Time Trial event. I'll be working on the final results this evening and will update Meet Mobile if I can tonight. It was great to see many of our new families participating, and parents trying new jobs out on deck!

I'll be reaching out to the Stroke and Turn group under separate cover with specific feedback. 

Generally:

• Space in the team area is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please be respectful of other families and mindful that we are a large team. Consider your surroundings and as you make 'swim buddies', think about potentially sharing space with another family. This will help alleviate things at away meets where we don't have as much space as we do at our home pool.
• The ONLY individuals allowed in the operational area(s) of the pool deck (starting area(s), head table, coaching tents, etc.) are:
  • Swimmers that have been called to an event
  • Parents that are on shift
  • Coaches
  • Board Members
• If you are not on the list above, you will be asked to leave the deck immediately.
• There is ABSOLUTELY NO PHOTOGRAPHY in the starting area(s). 
• Timers, it is imperative that you rise from your seat to view the actual touch of the swimmer at the finish of their event. When you witness the touch, depress the plunger fully. You should remain seated otherwise so the meet officials can have as much visibility as possible. 

PRACTICE NEXT WEEK

• Our practice schedule changes starting tomorrow. Everything moves up 2 hours. Our practice window is now 4 - 6 pm. 
• Otter Pup/6U families will be contacted (this may have already happened) by Coach Seipel with your practice time(s).
• Please refer to the team website for full schedule information

NEXT EVENT

• Tracy Invitational is our first official MVSL event of the season. This is a 2-day event on May 18-19. We will open registration/jobs for this event by Wednesday/Thursday of next week. The deadline is May 14th, and will not be moved. Late entries will not be accepted. Please adhere to the deadline(s).

OTHER/MISC

• Team apparel will be available at practice this week if you were unable to attend today. See Jenn Barbara on deck.

More info to come about the Tracy Invitational as we move through the week. This will be a busy week at practice as our coaching staff works through areas of improvement identified at today's event. Please encourage your swimmers to get as much rest as possible, and to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate.
