Tracy Invitational - IMPORTANT UPDATES - read to the end :)

    Happy Friday ROST!

The coaching staff and I have been working through some issues and questions about this year's event. Those of you that were there last year may remember some event changes that took place that were confusing. In an effort to avoid a repeat, we have been able to get some clarity from the host team.

The big change is relays will END the day, not to start as the meet schedule we received led us to believe.

Also, if you have any concerns or issues regarding results, DQ, etc. DURING the meet, I am the designee for this event. Please DO NOT approach the head table or any meet officials during the meet. My cell is 209-699-0096, this is a big event with people everywhere. Contact me directly and I'll come to you.

    Event Schedule:

The meet will begin Saturday with Event 12 - long Freestyle

    Saturday's lineup:

    1. Long Freestyle
    2. Butterfly
    3. Backstroke
    4. Medley Relays

Sunday will begin with Event 65 7/8 Individual Medley. I'm not sure why 6U is to the end, they may figure there won't be qualified entrants this early in the season.

    Sunday's lineup:

    1. Individual Medley
    2. Breaststroke
    3. Short Freestyle
      1. [6U IM may get wedged in here]
    4. Free Relays

Please continue to enter your swimmers by the deadline of next Tuesday. I should be on deck Monday/Tuesday to answer questions, and I'll respond to those that have reached out individually as I can. I'm trying to consolidate questions as many of you are asking the same good questions. I'm attaching the meet information from Tracy, please excuse typos and grammatical errors, I did not generate the content. :)

Young and new swimmers may have their events modified by the coaching staff if they are not legal at the stroke or ready to compete in it. Please use the notes section to communicate to the coaches with respect to availability. The goal is to have our swimmers gain skills to compete in as many events as possible throughout the year, and this may mean that a coach enters a swimmer for an event they aren't 100% comfortable with. Swimmer safety is our #1 priority, and no swimmer will be put in an unsafe position.

Other than the general information I've been sending out (deck access, put the chairs away, no pets on deck, etc...) I think that's it. Please continue to reach out with questions. I try to answer within 24 hours unless it's critical or time sensitive.

    I think that's it.

Have a great weekend, and most importantly...

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL OUR ROST MOMS!

    Best,

    Joe
