MVSL Championships
All,
Swimmer registration will open tonight at 9pm and close Wednesday at 5pm. I didn't receive any challenges to the lists I sent out in advance of the cancelled Tracy Dual meet in terms of eligibility, so here is what we know:
IF your swimmer needed the Tracy meet to satisfy the 4-meet requirement AND WAS REGISTERED TO SWIM THE TRACY MEET, then your swimmer(s) is/are eligible for MVSL Champs. I have attached an updated eligibility list.
If you think your swimmer is eligible and is not on the list, you MUST contact me ASAP.
If your swimmer(s) were going to swim as their 3rd meet and you planned to petition for eligibility, you must draft a letter for the basis of the exemption and get it to our League Rep, Amy Sickenberger ASAP. Amy can be e-mailed at [email protected]. Do not wait until Thursday to do this, please send in the petitions no later than end-of-day Tuesday.
The meet will be in Oakdale, at the same site as the Modesto Invitational. We have asked for information regarding issues that we faced at the Invitational (like the sound system, etc.) and when the answers to our inquiries are provided, I'll send out full information. I don't have the setup maps or anything yet, I'm expecting that tomorrow, but I’d assume it will be very similar to the Modesto Invitational.
Swimmers may sign up for 3 individual events that they have a qualified time for. No No-Time entries are accepted. Put another way, you can’t swim an event for the first time at champs.
Jobs will be posted as soon as Kat can get to it. She will work on them tomorrow.
Any questions, please contact me directly.
Let’s have a great week of practice and gear up to defend our back-to-back league titles!!!
Go River Otters!
Joe
