Hello Otter families,

I wanted to send a quick reminder that our team photos are tomorrow, Friday, from 4:30-7pm at the Liberty Pool. If you haven’t yet, please sign up for a time slot here.

Also: I would like to sincerely apologize for the ongoing issues with the pool chemicals and the resulting practice cancellations. Unfortunately, pool maintenance is managed entirely by the district, and our team does not have authority over its operation or chemical treatment.

The district’s maintenance operator oversees the pool and tests the water twice daily, with results consistently showing balanced chemical levels. In addition, we purchased our own testing kit to independently verify the water quality, and our readings have also indicated that the pool is within safe standards.

Before we are granted access to the pool, the district-employed lifeguards are required to conduct their own tests. At times, their results differ from both our tests and the maintenance operator’s findings. When this occurs, they will not allow us access to the facility and we must cancel practice.

We understand how frustrating and disappointing this situation is for everyone involved, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we work within the district’s policies and procedures.

We look forward to seeing everyone this weekend in Tracy. Remember, warm-ups are at 7:30, and don’t forget to check in 😊
